Description
The Zoom is an 85mm LED recessed downlight with a white aluminium trim, integrated 12W LED module and IP65 dust and water protection. The fitting sits flush with the ceiling line, leaving only the white bezel and central reflector cone visible. A 90 CRI rating maintains accurate colour rendering across reds, blues and greens, making it suitable for task areas where colour perception matters.
Designed for installation into plasterboard, concrete or timber ceilings with a minimum void depth of 85mm, the downlight fits bathrooms, kitchens, wet rooms, covered outdoor terraces and commercial corridors where moisture is present. The IP65 rating protects the LED driver and internal components from direct water jets and dust ingress. The dimmable function works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, allowing light levels to be reduced from full 12W output down to approximately 10% for evening ambient lighting.
The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light that sits between the yellow of traditional incandescent bulbs and the cooler white of commercial office lighting. The aluminium heatsink behind the visible trim dissipates LED heat into the ceiling void, maintaining the module's lifespan and preventing colour shift over time. Spring retention clips hold the fitting in place without visible screws on the ceiling face, and the white powder-coat finish on the trim resists yellowing under UV exposure.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight suitable for bathrooms and showers?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against direct water jets from any direction, making the Zoom suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2 (outside the shower cubicle itself but within splash distance). It can also be used in covered outdoor areas where rain may blow in.
What ceiling void depth is required?
A minimum 85mm void depth is needed above the ceiling line to accommodate the LED module and heatsink. The fitting sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, with only the 85mm diameter bezel visible.
What dimmer switches work with this downlight?
The Zoom works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers designed for LED loads. Check the dimmer manufacturer's LED compatibility list before pairing. Some older rotary dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering at low levels.
What is the 90 CRI rating?
CRI (Colour Rendering Index) measures how accurately colours appear under artificial light compared to natural daylight. A CRI of 90 means the Zoom reproduces colours very accurately, making it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes where colour perception is important.
