Description

The Zoom is a 60mm diameter recessed LED downlight with an integrated 6W LED module, IP65 rating and dimmable function. The black aluminium housing features a deep-recessed cone that reduces glare and gives a directional 3000K warm-white output through a clear lens. The IP65 ingress protection seals the fitting against dust and water jets, making it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, shower enclosures and kitchen splashback areas.

Designed for ceiling recess installation in new builds and refits, the Zoom requires a 68-72mm ceiling cut-out and approximately 70mm ceiling void depth above the plasterboard. Spring-loaded retention clips hold the fitting flush to the ceiling once installed. The integrated driver runs on 220-240V AC mains with no external transformer required. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — see FAQ below for guidance.

The 6W LED produces approximately 500-550 lumens at 3000K colour temperature with a CRI90 rating, providing accurate colour rendering for task areas including vanity mirrors, kitchen worktops and reading corners. What ceiling cut-out size is required?

The Zoom requires a 68-72mm diameter ceiling cut-out and approximately 70mm ceiling void depth above the plasterboard to accommodate the driver and heat sink. The fitting installs using spring-loaded retention clips that sit behind the plasterboard.

Can it be used in bathrooms and wet areas?

Yes. The IP65 rating provides protection against water jets and dust ingress, making the Zoom suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, shower enclosures, and kitchen areas near sinks and hobs. It is not rated for direct submersion or outdoor use in exposed positions.
