Description

The Zon is a 12cm diameter surface-mounted LED downlight with an integrated 12W 3000K LED inside a white aluminium drum. The fitting sits 6cm proud of the ceiling surface, providing a low-profile alternative to recessed downlights in spaces where ceiling cavity depth is limited or where surface wiring is preferred over cutting into the ceiling structure.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and commercial spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4-3m, the Zon casts warm white light directly downwards from the circular diffuser at the base of the drum. The 3000K colour temperature provides ambient room lighting without the cooler clinical tone of daylight LEDs. The surface-mount design means the fitting requires only a ceiling rose or junction box connection rather than cutting a recessed aperture, making it faster to install and suitable for solid ceilings where recessing is not possible.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish integrates cleanly with white or off-white ceilings while the cylindrical form adds minimal visual weight to the room. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from direct water contact. The 12W LED output sits between typical 8-10W recessed downlights and 15-18W spotlight equivalents, providing sufficient ambient light for a 3-4m² area when used as part of a multi-point lighting scheme.
