Description

The Zephyrus is a 22cm round LED flush fitting with an integrated LED emitting 4000K cool white light through a white plastic diffuser. The painted steel body sits flush to the ceiling or wall with minimal projection, making it suitable for low-ceiling spaces, corridors and rooms where a recessed profile is needed.

Designed for general illumination in hallways, landings, bathrooms (zone 3 only — IP20 rating), kitchens and bedrooms, the Zephyrus provides even ambient light across medium-sized rooms up to approximately 10-12m². The cool 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light that sits between warm and daylight tones, working comfortably in both residential and commercial settings. The fixture can be mounted on ceilings or walls using the same rear fixing plate.

The 22cm diameter gives enough spread for corridor lighting without overwhelming small entrance halls or cloakrooms. The white finish on both the body and diffuser allows the fitting to blend into white or light-painted ceilings, while the round form offers a softer visual profile than square alternatives. The LED is non-dimmable and integrated into the fitting — no separate bulb is required.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits the Zephyrus to dry indoor locations only. In bathrooms it can be used in zone 3 (more than 60cm from the edge of the bath or shower), but not in zones 0, 1 or 2 where water contact is possible.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. Ideal Lux covers the LED under a 5-year warranty, and typical LED lifespan is 20,000-30,000 hours depending on usage pattern.

What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?

4000K produces a cool white light with a slight blue tone, closer to daylight. 3000K produces a warm white light with a yellow tone, closer to traditional halogen. 4000K suits task-focused spaces like kitchens and offices; 3000K suits relaxation spaces like bedrooms and lounges.

How is it fitted?

The Zephyrus mounts directly to a ceiling rose or wall outlet box using the rear fixing plate. Mains wiring connects inside the fitting before the diffuser is clipped into place. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
