Zephyrus 40cm Square LED Flush Ceiling Light 4000K - White

The Zephyrus is a 400mm square flush ceiling light with an integrated LED emitting 4000K neutral white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The white powder-coated steel frame sits 50mm proud of the ceiling and provides broad, even illumination across a 3-4m room without visible bulbs or exposed light sources.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, offices and commercial spaces where bright, shadow-free light is needed, the Zephyrus can also be wall-mounted as a large decorative panel light. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor areas, but the 40cm square footprint makes it suitable as primary lighting in 12-16m² rooms or as supplementary light in larger open-plan areas. The flush design works in rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

The opal diffuser hides the LED array behind it and spreads light evenly across the ceiling and down into the room, avoiding the hotspot effect of clear or prismatic diffusers. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K), giving a neutral daylight-like quality that suits task-focused spaces without the clinical feel of cooler LEDs. The white steel frame blends into white ceilings or provides a clean accent on coloured walls when wall-mounted.

Is the Zephyrus suitable for bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Zephyrus is not protected against water ingress, so it cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1 or 2 (above baths, showers or within 60cm of a basin). It can be used in bathrooms outside those zones where no direct water contact is expected.

What size room does it light?

The 40cm square fitting provides primary lighting for rooms up to 12-16m² (3-4m square). In larger spaces it works as supplementary light or in multiples spaced 1.5-2m apart.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering the LED module. If the LED fails within that period, the entire fitting is typically replaced under warranty.

What is 4000K colour temperature?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000-6500K). It provides daylight-like illumination that suits task-focused spaces such as kitchens, offices and workshops without feeling too warm or too clinical.
