The lantern housing measures 150mm wide by 262mm tall and sits on a curved bracket that projects 190mm from the wall. A decorative leaf-and-scroll frieze runs around the upper section of the glass housing, and the IP44 rating makes it suitable for installation on exterior walls exposed to rain.

Designed for mounting beside front doors, garage entrances, and covered porch areas, the Winchcombe takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately). The seeded glass diffuses light from the central bulb while the open-bottom design allows heat to escape. The black finish on the cast aluminium resists corrosion and requires no repainting, and the peaked roof and finial give the lantern a traditional coach-house appearance that pairs with period cottages, mock-Tudor facades, and older brick homes.

The lantern takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K for a traditional appearance, or a clear filament-style LED for visibility of the bulb through the seeded glass.

How is the seeded glass cleaned?

The glass panels can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The seeded texture traps dust less visibly than clear glass, so cleaning is typically needed once or twice a year. The glass panels are fixed within the cast frame and are not removable for cleaning.

Can it be mounted upside down or horizontally?

No. The lantern is designed to be mounted with the peaked roof at the top and the open bottom facing downwards. Mounting it in any other orientation would trap water inside the housing and void the IP44 rating.
