Description
The Wexford is a 535mm outdoor wall light with a hand-leaded glass lantern head mounted on an upward-facing bracket in a black and silver finish. Each of the four glass panels is composed of five individual pieces of textured glass held in a lead frame, creating a diamond lattice pattern that diffuses light outward and upward from a single E27 bulb (sold separately, max 60W).
Designed for mounting beside front doors, on porch walls, or flanking garage entrances, the Wexford casts ambient light upward onto the wall surface while the leaded glass spreads softer illumination outward to illuminate pathways and door thresholds. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust ingress, making it suitable for exposed positions under eaves or in open porches. The 285mm projection from the wall positions the light head clear of typical door architraves and window frames.
The black and silver finish pairs a matt black body with brushed silver detailing on the finial, wall bracket scroll and lower collar, giving the fitting a period character that suits Victorian, Edwardian and Arts-and-Crafts-style exteriors. The weather-resistant metal construction and powder-coated finish resist corrosion in coastal and damp climates. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or traditional filament bulbs, allowing you to choose the colour temperature and output that suits the application.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Wexford take?
The Wexford uses a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for outdoor ambient lighting.
Is it suitable for fully exposed positions?
The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust, making it suitable for positions under eaves, in porches, or on walls with some overhead cover. For fully exposed positions with no shelter, a higher IP rating (IP65 or above) is recommended.
Can it be mounted upside-down to face downward?
The Wexford is designed as an upward-facing wall light. Mounting it inverted would trap water inside the glass lantern and compromise the IP44 protection. For downward-facing light, consider a purpose-designed down wall light from the Elstead range.
What is hand-leaded glass?
Each glass panel is assembled from five individual pieces of textured glass held together in a lead frame, creating the diamond lattice pattern. This is a traditional glasswork technique that gives the light a period character and diffuses the bulb glow more evenly than a single sheet of glass.
