Description

The Welland is a 361mm diameter flush ceiling light with a polished chrome stepped rim and an integrated 25W 3000K LED behind an opal acrylic diffuser. The 40mm height makes it one of the flattest LED flush lights available, designed specifically for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Rated IP54, the Welland is protected against moisture ingress and suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, hallways, en-suites, utility rooms and covered outdoor porches. The integrated LED provides 2,000 lumens of warm white light across the full 361mm diameter, sufficient to serve as the primary light source in bathrooms up to 8m², hallways up to 10m², or cloakrooms and WCs as a single fitting.

The polished chrome finish is applied to a steel rim that steps down in three concentric bands, creating a ribbed Art Deco-style profile when viewed from the side. The opal diffuser sits flush with the final band, hiding the LED module entirely and spreading light evenly without hotspots or visible diodes. Two fixing screws attach the rim to a ceiling backplate, with the diffuser removable for access to the LED driver if needed during future maintenance.

Which bathroom zones is the Welland rated for?

The IP54 rating makes the Welland suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and outside the immediate bath area). It is not rated for zone 0 (inside the shower tray or bath) or zone 1 (directly above the shower or bath). For zones 0 and 1 you need IP65 or IP67 rated fittings.

What room size does the 25W LED cover?

The 25W integrated LED provides approximately 2,000 lumens at 3000K. This is sufficient as the primary ceiling light in bathrooms up to 8m², hallways up to 10m², or cloakrooms and WCs as a single fitting. For larger rooms you may need two Welland fittings or a higher-output alternative.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED module is integrated and not user-replaceable. The module is rated for 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to approximately 13 years of use at 5 hours per day. If the LED fails within the 2-year warranty period, contact Elstead Lighting.

Can the polished chrome be cleaned?

Yes. Wipe the chrome rim with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water and a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal polishes or scouring pads, as these will scratch the chrome plating. Dry immediately after cleaning to prevent water spots.
