Description

The Warwick is a 950mm diameter 8-light chandelier built from hand-forged wrought iron finished in graphite black, with eight candle-style arms arranged radially around a central column. Each arm holds a single E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the metalwork is forged to replicate traditional blacksmith techniques, with hammer marks and tapered details visible on the arms and chain links.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier provides ambient lighting spread across eight bulb positions rather than concentrated overhead. The adjustable drop allows the fitting to be set between 610mm and 2520mm on installation, so it can be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table in a standard ceiling room or dropped lower in a double-height space. The graphite black finish is a mid-tone charcoal that sits between pure black and gunmetal grey.

The wrought iron frame weighs approximately 6kg and requires ceiling fixings rated for the combined weight plus the bulbs and chain. The chain links are solid rather than stamped, and the central column includes turned details and ball finials that reference medieval cartwheels and ironwork. Eight drip trays sit beneath the candle cups to catch any wax if using real candles, though most installations pair the chandelier with LED filament candle bulbs rated at 2700K-3000K for a warm flame-effect glow.

Eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users fit LED filament candle bulbs rated at 4-6W and 2700K for a warm flame-effect glow without excessive heat or energy consumption.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 610mm plus the 540mm body height means the chandelier requires at least 2.7m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues when set above a dining table. For double-height spaces the chain can be extended to the full 2520mm drop.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjusted during installation by shortening the chain length. Once fitted and wired, changing the drop requires removing the chandelier from the ceiling and re-threading the cable through the chain links.

Can it be used with a dimmer?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. LED filament candle bulbs labelled 'dimmable' work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if paired with a dimmer switch.
