Description

The Viritis is a 600mm grey aluminium bollard light with an integrated 12W 3000K LED and a transparent glass diffuser that directs light downwards. The powder-coated aluminium body measures 85mm square in cross-section, providing a slim profile that sits flush against pathway edges, driveways and garden borders without projecting into walkable space.

Rated IP54, the Viritis protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather conditions. The downward-facing light pattern illuminates the ground directly below and ahead of the bollard without spilling upwards into windows or creating glare, making it appropriate for residential pathways, driveway edges, and commercial exterior zones where lighting needs to be directed and contained.

The grey powder-coated finish on the aluminium body resists UV degradation and surface corrosion better than painted steel alternatives, maintaining colour consistency across multiple units installed in a run. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to traditional halogen pathway lighting but at lower running costs. The bollard requires a below-ground cable run and a foundation or spike base depending on the installation surface. The 600mm cable feeds through the base, so electrical connection happens below ground level. A qualified electrician is recommended for installation.

For pathway lighting, spacing bollards 2.5-3.5m apart provides continuous ground illumination without dark gaps. For driveway edges or decorative garden use, spacing can be wider depending on the desired effect and total light levels needed.
