Description
The Viritis is an 800mm tall outdoor LED bollard light with an anthracite powder-coated aluminium body and a transparent glass diffuser panel. An integrated 12W LED inside the body casts warm 3000K light downward through the glass, lighting paths and driveways without glare at eye level. The IP54 rating protects the electrical components from dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather.
Designed for garden paths, driveway edging, courtyard borders and public walkways, the Viritis sits 800mm above ground level, placing the light source well above typical border planting without being tall enough to obstruct sightlines. The 85mm square footprint is compact enough for narrow borders alongside paving or gravel. The 600mm cable run from the base allows connection to a buried supply cable or nearby junction box, and the bollard is typically wired on a ring circuit with other pathway lights controlled by a single switch or timer.
The powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion in coastal and exposed locations better than painted mild steel, and the anthracite finish pairs with dark greys, charcoal render and black window frames in contemporary builds. The transparent glass diffuser shows the LED module clearly when the light is off, giving the bollard a modern industrial appearance rather than trying to hide the light source. The non-dimmable 12W LED is factory-fitted and rated for 30,000 hours of operation.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used on a coastal property?
Yes. The powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion better than painted mild steel in salt-air environments. The IP54 rating protects against water spray, though direct submersion in standing water should be avoided by ensuring the base sits above typical flood levels.
Is the LED replaceable?
The 12W LED module is integrated into the bollard and is not user-replaceable. It is rated for 30,000 hours of operation, which equates to approximately 10 years of use at 8 hours per night.
What height is the light output?
The bollard stands 800mm tall above ground level, with the glass diffuser panel positioned near the top of the column. Light is cast downward from this height, illuminating approximately 1-2 metres of path or driveway depending on installation spacing.
How is it installed?
The bollard requires a buried supply cable or nearby junction box for connection. The 600mm cable from the base allows connection below ground level. Installation typically involves setting the bollard into a concrete footing or fixing it to an existing hard surface with anchor bolts, then connecting to mains via a weatherproof junction box.
