Description
The Virelon is a 620mm table lamp built around a tapered marble base, paired with a squared white PVC shade and polished brass detailing. A circular cut-out pierces the marble body, framed on one face by a polished brass disc that aligns with the opening. A slender brass stem rises from the top of the stone to support the shade, and the fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).
At 620mm tall with a 380 x 200mm footprint, the Virelon suits console tables in entrance halls, sideboards in living rooms and larger bedside tables where a sculptural lamp is wanted alongside a bed at least 1.4m wide. The squared shade casts light downward onto the surface and outward through the white PVC, giving useful task light for reading as well as ambient glow across the room.
The marble is natural stone, so the grey veining pattern and tonal variation differ from piece to piece — no two Virelon bases share an identical pattern. The tapered geometry of the base, with cleanly cut planes narrowing toward the top, contrasts the soft drape of the shade and the warm tone of the brass disc and stem. The combination of stone, metal and fabric gives the lamp a substantial, weighted presence that anchors a console arrangement without dominating it.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Virelon take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient and bedside use, or up to 60W maximum across other bulb types.
Does the marble vary between lamps?
Yes. The base is cut from natural marble, so the grey veining and tonal pattern differ between individual pieces. Each Virelon will look slightly different from the photographed example, which is part of the character of the natural stone.
Where is the switch located?
The lamp uses an inline cable switch on the flex, which is the standard configuration for E27 table lamps in this style. See the Specification tab for full fitting details.
How is the marble cleaned?
Wipe the marble with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon) and polishes, as these can etch or stain the stone surface.
