Description

The Victor is a 700mm table lamp with a cream-glazed ceramic base shaped as a tapering ovoid, topped with a 420mm brown faux silk drum shade. The shade is lined internally with gold card, which warms the light quality when the lamp is switched on. A polished chrome collar sits between the base and shade, concealing the fitting and cable entry.

Designed for side tables in living rooms, bedside tables in larger bedrooms, and console tables in hallways or dining rooms, the Victor provides ambient and task lighting through a single E27 bulb (sold separately, 60W maximum). The 700mm overall height positions the shade at approximately eye level when seated, making it suitable for reading positions without directing glare into the room. The 240mm base diameter gives stability on surfaces without requiring a large footprint.

The cream ceramic base is finished with a smooth high-gloss glaze that reflects light around the lower half of the lamp, while the brown faux silk shade diffuses light through the fabric weave. The gold card lining inside the shade reflects warm tones back through the brown silk, creating a warmer colour temperature than the bulb alone would produce. The lamp weighs approximately 3kg when fitted with a standard LED bulb, giving it presence on a surface without being difficult to move for cleaning or rearranging.

What bulb does the Victor take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for ambient or bedside lighting.

Is the shade removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The shade lifts off the chrome collar assembly to access the bulb fitting. The shade is hard-backed rather than wire-framed, so it holds its shape when removed and replaced.

What is the gold card lining?

The interior of the brown shade is lined with a gold-coloured card material that reflects warm light back through the faux silk fabric. This warms the light quality and creates a different appearance when the lamp is on versus off.

Can the ceramic base be cleaned?

The cream glaze is non-porous and can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking the base near the cable entry point at the top. The faux silk shade should be dusted with a soft brush or dry cloth rather than cleaned with water.
