Description

The Vibe is a 300mm square flush-mount LED ceiling light with an integrated 19W 3000K LED and an IP65 rating for bathroom and wet-room installation. The white powder-coated aluminium base sits 20mm proud of the ceiling or wall surface, with an opal plastic diffuser that spreads light evenly across the space without visible hotspots or glare.

Designed for bathrooms, shower rooms, utility rooms and kitchens where moisture protection is needed, the IP65 rating provides full dust ingress protection and resistance to water jets from any direction. The low 20mm profile suits rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where deeper fittings would intrude into the headspace. The flush-mount design also works on walls as a zone-appropriate bathroom wall light.

The 19W integrated LED produces warm white 3000K light, comparable to a traditional 100W incandescent in output but with significantly lower running costs and heat generation. The opal diffuser softens the light across its full 300mm face, giving broad ambient coverage rather than a focused beam. The white powder-coated finish on the aluminium base blends into white or light-coloured ceilings without the visual weight of metallic finishes.

The LED is non-dimmable and designed to run continuously on 230V mains without a separate driver box, simplifying installation. Ideal Lux backs this fitting with a 5-year warranty covering the LED module and the fixture body.

Can this be used in a bathroom shower zone?

Yes. The IP65 rating provides full protection against water jets, making the Vibe suitable for installation in zones 1 and 2 of a UK bathroom under BS 7671 wiring regulations. It is not rated for submersion, so should not be installed in zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure or above a bath where direct spray is constant).

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 19W LED is integrated into the fitting and designed to last the lifetime of the product under normal use. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering the LED module, and typical LED lifespan is 25,000-50,000 hours depending on operating conditions.

Can it be mounted on a wall?

Yes. The Vibe can be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted. On a wall it functions as broad ambient wash light rather than directional task light, suitable for corridor or bathroom wall positions where supplementary lighting is needed.

What size ceiling rose or back box is needed?

The 300mm square faceplate covers a standard UK ceiling rose. For wall mounting, the fixing points sit within the 300mm footprint, so no visible back box is needed if surface-mounted directly onto plasterboard or solid wall with appropriate fixings.
