Description
The Valmor is a 660mm table lamp built around a rectangular block of polished black marble, framed top and bottom by a brushed brass surround and seated on a stepped brass plinth. A slender brass stem rises from the top of the marble to support an ivory rectangular fabric shade, taking a single E27 bulb. Measuring 400mm tall by 200mm wide at the base, the body has a deliberately architectural footprint.
Designed for console tables, sideboards, hallway tables and dressing tables, the Valmor suits positions where a tall, rectilinear silhouette pairs better than a rounded ceramic or glass form. The 660mm overall height gives useful reading-light reach when placed on a 750mm side table next to a sofa or armchair, and pairs in twos either side of a bed or console without crowding the surface. The E27 socket accepts standard screw-fit LED, halogen or filament bulbs (sold separately).
The black marble panel shows pronounced white veining that runs vertically through the polished stone, so each lamp varies in pattern depending on the section of marble it was cut from. The brushed brass frame holds the marble within a clean rectangular border, and the stepped base lifts the body slightly off the surface to give the form a defined plinth. The ivory PVC shade is rectangular rather than drum or empire, keeping the linear geometry consistent from base to top finial.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Valmor take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to suit the ivory shade and brass detailing.
Does the marble veining vary between lamps?
Yes. The block is cut from natural black marble, so the white veining pattern, density and direction differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and is why each Valmor looks subtly different when lit.
Is it suitable as a bedside lamp?
The 660mm overall height suits taller bedside tables and console tables rather than low nightstands. On a 600-700mm bedside table, the shade sits at a comfortable height for reading when seated up in bed.
How is the lamp cleaned?
Wipe the marble and brass with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks on the marble, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid household sprays and chemical cleaners as marble is porous. Dust the ivory shade with a soft brush attachment.
