Description

The Unity recessed T-connector is a single-phase track system component that joins three track segments at a 90-degree T-junction. Milled from aluminium and finished in matt black, the connector sits flush with the recessed track profile and maintains electrical continuity across all three arms at 220-240V AC.

Designed for commercial and residential track lighting installations where directional changes are needed mid-run, the T-connector is commonly used in retail spaces to extend track from a perimeter run out into the centre of the room, in galleries to create grid layouts for adjustable spotlights, and in offices where task lighting needs to branch from a main power feed. The recessed profile keeps the connector body inside the ceiling plane, leaving only the track opening visible from below.

The 130mm x 95mm footprint of the connector body determines the minimum spacing needed between the junction point and any adjacent ceiling joists or fixings. The aluminium construction conducts heat away from the electrical contacts and the matt black finish matches the standard Unity track extrusion colour. The connector accepts Unity track segments on all three sides, which lock into place with a twist-lock mechanism and are held by spring-loaded contacts inside the connector housing.

Is this compatible with other track systems?

No. The Unity T-connector is designed specifically for Maytoni Unity recessed track segments and uses a proprietary connection profile. It will not fit track systems from other manufacturers or surface-mounted track types.

How is the connector installed?

The connector sits inside a recessed ceiling channel with the track segments locking into each side via a twist-lock mechanism. Electrical contact is made through spring-loaded pins inside the connector housing. See the product manual for detailed installation steps and wiring diagrams.

What is the maximum load capacity?

The connector is rated for 220-240V AC single-phase power. Maximum load depends on the total wattage of all track heads connected to the three arms and the rating of the circuit supplying the track. Consult a qualified electrician to confirm load calculations for your specific installation.

Are other finishes available?
