Description

The Twine is an adjustable table lamp with a white fabric-covered shade on a natural wood stem and powder-coated metal base. The lamp head sits on a pivoting joint that allows it to tilt and rotate, directing the E27 bulb's light downward for reading or task work, or angled upward for ambient glow. The white PVC-backed fabric shade diffuses the light to reduce glare.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and console surfaces where flexible task lighting is needed, the Twine pairs a compact 200mm x 270mm footprint with a full-height wood stem that positions the light source at typical reading height when angled down. The adjustment mechanism is a simple pivot joint without a locking collar, so the lamp head holds position through friction rather than a clamp. An inline switch on the cable removes the need for reaching behind furniture to turn the lamp on or off.

The natural wood stem is unfinished ash or beech (varies by production batch) with visible grain, giving each lamp a slightly different appearance. The white powder coat on the base and fittings is a low-sheen matt finish that hides fingerprints and pairs comfortably with Scandinavian, coastal and modern minimalist interiors. The combination of white metal and natural wood keeps the lamp feeling light and airy rather than heavy or industrial. Rated IP20 for indoor dry locations only.

What bulb does it take?

The Twine takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 6-10W LED bulb in 2700K-3000K for warm reading light. The shade is white fabric, so a warm-white bulb gives the most natural diffused glow.

Is the height adjustable or just the angle?

The stem height is fixed. Only the lamp head pivots and tilts on the joint at the top of the wood stem, allowing you to angle the light up or down. The overall height from base to shade top is approximately 450-500mm depending on head position.

Does the lamp head stay in position when adjusted?

Yes, through friction in the pivot joint. There is no locking collar or clamp — the joint holds position by tightness. Over time the joint may loosen with repeated adjustment, which can be tightened by accessing the screw inside the joint housing.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The lamp is rated IP20, which means it is suitable for indoor dry locations only. It is not protected against moisture or splashes and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any damp environment.
