Description
In our view, a good cabinet earns its place by giving a room order without asking for much in return, and the Treasures 2-door Oak Cabinet does exactly that. At 109cm wide and 75cm tall, it holds a useful footprint while keeping a low, calm profile, so we find it settles happily along a hallway, in a living room or against a bedroom wall. The two solid oak sliding doors move across the front rather than swinging out, which means you lose nothing to clearance in a tight spot. We like the way the Sterling shade reads as a soft, grounded grey, letting the natural oak grain stay honest and quiet beneath it.
The form is worth a closer look. Curved upholstered end panels in faux leather bring a gentle softness to either side of the cabinet, breaking up the run of timber and giving the piece a rounded, considered shape. It stands on four round tapered legs, which lift it clear of the floor and keep the whole thing feeling light despite its 36kg build. Inside, you get concealed storage behind those sliding doors, with a shelf rated to a 15kg maximum load when weight is spread evenly. The top surface takes up to 50kg on the same even-load basis, so we are comfortable recommending it as a resting place for a table lamp base, a stack of books or a few framed photographs.
Built from solid oak, faux leather, particle board, steel and polyester, this is part of our Horizons S range, where you will find fuller material notes if you want them. We have kept assembly straightforward, at around 40 minutes with a video to follow along, so you are not left guessing. Measuring 43cm deep, it tucks close to a wall and asks little of the space around it.
