Description

Our Together Smooth Square 60 Coffee Table is made from solid oak, oak veneered MDF and venetian cane, a combination we chose to balance warmth underfoot with a lighter woven detail below. The top is a veneered surface with solid oak lipping and a clear coat wood finish, sitting in a Dark Oak shade that carries a deep, grounded tone through the grain. Measuring 60 by 60cm with rounded corners, it holds a neat square footprint that works well in the middle of a seating group or pulled up beside a sofa.

Beneath the top sits a woven lower tier in venetian cane, giving this coffee table a second usable level for books, a tray or a table lamp base while keeping the whole piece feeling open rather than heavy. The solid oak legs are attached with threaded rods, a fixing method we favour for its strength and steadiness, and the low profile means the surface stays close to seat height for easy reach. We finished the veneered plate and the oak lipping to sit flush, so the top reads as one clean plane. At 8.6kg it stays light enough to reposition when we want to rework the layout of a room.

Assembly takes around 15 minutes, so there is little standing between unboxing and putting it to use. The rounded corners soften the square shape and make it a friendlier choice in busier spaces where sharp edges get in the way, and the Dark Oak tone pairs happily with paler walls, greys and greens alike.
