Solid oak forms the heart of our Socialite Counter Stool 44cm, giving us a seat with real substance and a warm, honest grain that we appreciate in every piece we range. The round seat sits atop four solid tapered legs, and we have paired the oak with an aluminium footrest ring finished in a brass anodized tone that catches the light. In its Oak colour, the stool keeps a natural, pale warmth that settles happily into kitchens and breakfast bars alike. There is no back to interrupt the profile, so the shape stays clean and low from every angle.

This counter stool is practical as well as good looking. It stands 67.5cm tall with a 44cm diameter seat, a height we chose to suit counters and islands where a taller perch is needed. At 4.8kg it is light enough to move easily when someone wants to pull up alongside, yet the solid oak keeps it stable in daily use. The brass footrest ring is placed for comfort, giving somewhere to rest while sitting for a while. Assembly takes around 5min, so there is little standing between us handing it over and it being ready to use. We have kept the fixings straightforward and few.
