Description

Solid oak with a warm, natural finish gives our Socialite Bar Stool 47cm its clean, honest character, a piece made to sit comfortably at a kitchen island or bar. The round wooden seat rests on four solid tapered legs, each one running down to a floor with steady, even footing. There is no back and no upholstery here, just the plain grain of the oak and its soft, open colour, which we chose because it works so easily alongside other woods and painted surfaces.

A brass anodized aluminium footrest ring wraps the base of the stool, giving somewhere to rest your feet while adding a subtle metallic contrast against the oak. We anodize the aluminium so that the brass tone holds well and keeps its finish through daily use. Standing at a height of 77.5cm with a seat diameter of 47cm, it suits a counter or island where a little extra reach is needed, and its light weight of 5.1kg means we can move it around a space without any fuss. Assembly takes around 5 minutes, so there is very little standing between the flat box and a stool ready to use.

We put this bar stool through EN 16139 testing, which it passed at level L1, so we are confident it holds up to regular seating in busy kitchens and social spaces. The warm Oak finish leans toward the lighter, more natural end of the wood tones we work with, and we kept the shape simple enough to suit a variety of settings.
