Description

In our homes a good footstool earns its place quietly, and this is exactly the sort of piece we reach for when a room needs somewhere to rest tired feet or set down a tray. The Reader Oak Ottoman brings a low, welcoming presence to a reading corner, a bedroom or the space beside a favourite armchair. Its shaped padded top invites you to put your feet up at the end of the day, while the open oak frame keeps things light and airy rather than bulky. We love how it slots into a room without crowding it, giving you comfort and a little extra flexibility wherever you need it.

Measuring 60cm wide, 46cm deep and 42cm high, this ottoman sits at a natural height alongside most seating, so it works as a footrest or as occasional perching when guests arrive. The soft top is finished in a warm brown that settles easily with neutral schemes and richer, layered interiors alike. Beneath it, the solid oak frame carries a gentle grain that we think pairs beautifully with the upholstery, tying the piece to other wooden furniture you may already own. At just 4.2kg it is easy to lift and move, so you can shift it between rooms or tuck it away when floor space is at a premium.

The frame is made from solid oak with a laminated veneer, while the padded top combines MDF with PUR and a hard-wearing polyester cover, giving you a seat that holds its shape through daily use. Assembly takes around 15 minutes and there is a video to guide you through it. To keep the brown upholstery looking its best, we suggest a regular light brush or vacuum and a prompt wipe of any spills. Style it with a folded throw and a small stack of books for an easy, lived-in finish.
