Description
The Tenax Pro is a 320mm anti-vandal bulkhead casing constructed from UV-stabilised polycarbonate in a grey finish, carrying IP66 weatherproof and IK10 impact ratings. The casing accepts separately-sold LED gear trays in 10W, 15W or 20W configurations, with the polycarbonate diffuser and body protecting the internal gear from water ingress, dust and deliberate impact.
Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor applications where vandalism, weather exposure or accidental impact are concerns, the Tenax Pro mounts to standard BESA boxes and offers multiple 20mm conduit entry points for flexible cable routing. Stainless steel tamper-proof screws secure the diffuser and prevent casual removal. The 80mm projection from the wall or ceiling keeps the fitting compact while housing the gear tray, terminal block and wiring connections.
The polycarbonate body and diffuser are UV-stabilised to prevent yellowing and brittleness under prolonged sun exposure, maintaining the grey finish over multiple years outdoors. The IK10 impact rating means the casing can withstand a 5kg mass dropped from 400mm without cracking, making it suitable for schools, car parks, stairwells and public buildings. The IP66 rating confirms protection against powerful water jets from any direction and total dust exclusion, allowing the fitting to operate in wash-down environments or exposed coastal locations.
Performance depends on the LED gear tray installed: the 10W tray delivers approximately 1,075 lumens at 4000K, the 15W tray 1,580 lumens, and the 20W tray 1,975 lumens. Gear trays are sold separately and must be specified at the time of ordering.

Frequently Asked
Does the casing include the LED gear tray?
No. The Tenax Pro casing is sold separately from the LED gear trays. You must purchase a compatible 10W, 15W or 20W gear tray to complete the installation. Contact us to confirm which gear tray SKUs are compatible with this casing.
What does IP66 and IK10 mean?
IP66 means the casing is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets from any direction, suitable for outdoor and wash-down environments. IK10 means it can withstand a 5kg mass dropped from 400mm without damage, providing high impact resistance against vandalism or accidental knocks.
Can it be mounted on a standard BESA box?
Yes. The casing is BESA box compatible and includes multiple 20mm conduit entry points for flexible cable routing. The base plate fixes directly to a standard BESA box using the mounting holes provided.
What's the difference between the standard and eyelid versions?
The standard version shown here has a full circular diffuser. The eyelid version includes a hooded shade above the diffuser to reduce upward light spill and glare, useful for wall-mounting in public areas or where light pollution is a concern. Both versions share the same IP66 and IK10 ratings.
