Description

The TENAX One is a 245mm square bulkhead casing constructed from UV-stabilised polycarbonate with an IP65 weatherproof rating and an IK10 impact rating. The casing is sold empty and requires a separate TENAX LED gear tray (sold separately) to function as a complete bulkhead light. The white finish resists UV discolouration and the polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in outdoor and industrial environments.

Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor applications where high ingress protection and impact resistance are required, the casing fits standard BESA boxes and includes multiple 20mm conduit entries for commercial wiring routes. The prismatic diffuser spreads light evenly when paired with a TENAX LED gear tray, which is available in 10W (1,200lm), 15W (1,670lm) and 20W (2,100lm) output options at 4000K. The casing can be surface-mounted to walls, ceilings and bulkheads in car parks, loading bays, external building facades, industrial units and stairwells.

The square 245mm x 245mm x 70mm body provides a larger diffuser area than typical round bulkheads, giving better light spread over wide spaces and reducing the number of fittings needed in commercial installations. The stainless steel tamper-proof screws resist vandalism in public areas and reduce maintenance costs by preventing unauthorised access to the gear tray. The Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection, simplifying installation where earth conductors are not present.

No. The TENAX One casing is sold empty and requires a separate TENAX LED gear tray to function as a complete bulkhead light. The gear trays are sold separately in 10W, 15W and 20W output options at 4000K.

What does the IP65 rating mean?

IP65 provides complete dust protection (IP6X) and protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction (IPX5). The casing can be mounted outdoors in exposed locations and is suitable for wet environments including car washes, loading bays and external building facades.

What is the IK10 impact rating?

IK10 is the highest rating on the international impact protection scale, meaning the casing can withstand a 5kg mass dropped from 400mm (20 joules of impact energy). This makes it suitable for vandal-prone public areas, industrial sites and locations where impacts from machinery or vehicles are possible.

Can it be fitted to a standard BESA box?

Yes. The casing is BESA box compatible, allowing it to be mounted to the standard circular back boxes used in UK commercial and industrial installations. Multiple 20mm conduit entries are provided for commercial wiring routes.
