Description

The Knightsbridge TENAX is a 235mm square LED gear tray module with on-board wattage and colour temperature adjustment, designed to fit inside compatible Tenax One and Tenax Quad bulkhead casings (sold separately). The module provides three wattage settings (10W, 15W, 20W) and three colour temperatures (3000K, 4000K, 5700K) selectable via switches on the back of the PCB, allowing a single stock item to cover nine different output configurations.

The gear tray includes an integral daylight sensor that automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn, intended for exterior installations where the bulkhead casing provides weatherproofing. Four butterfly clips secure the tray to the casing and align it with the diffuser, while push-fit terminals with loop-in-loop-out capability speed up installation when wiring multiple bulkheads in a run. The IP20 rating on the tray itself requires an IP-rated casing to achieve weather resistance for outdoor use.

At maximum 20W output the tray delivers 2345-2630 lumens depending on colour temperature selected, with efficacy ranging from 141-151 lm/W. The aluminium PCB acts as a heatsink to manage LED junction temperatures across the 40,000-hour L70B50 rated life. The constant-current driver is non-dimmable. The TENAX range also includes variants with emergency backup, self-test emergency, microwave sensors and combinations of these features, giving flexibility to specify exactly the control configuration needed for each installation.

Does this include the bulkhead casing?

No. The TENAX gear tray is the internal LED module only. You must purchase a compatible Tenax One or Tenax Quad casing separately to house the tray and provide the diffuser and weatherproofing for exterior installations.

How do you change the wattage and colour temperature?

Small switches on the back of the PCB allow you to select between 10W, 15W or 20W output and between 3000K, 4000K or 5700K colour temperature. Set these before installing the tray into the casing.

Can the daylight sensor be disabled?

The daylight sensor is integral to this variant. If you need manual control or a different sensor type, Knightsbridge produces TENAX gear trays with microwave sensors, emergency backup or no sensor at all. Search for TENAX at Niori to see the full range.

What IP rating do I need for outdoor use?

The gear tray itself is IP20, meaning it has no ingress protection against moisture. For exterior use pair it with a Tenax casing rated IP65 or higher, which seals the tray behind a weatherproof diffuser and gasket.
