The Taulbee is a two-tier 15-light chandelier built on a pair of stacked weathered grey wood veneer rings suspended from a weathered zinc canopy by six metal arms. Each tier carries bulb holders arranged in a circular formation — five on the upper ring, ten on the lower — with each holder taking an E14 candle bulb (sold separately). The wood veneer rings are inset with decorative metalwork in the same weathered zinc finish, creating a framework that references traditional wagon-wheel chandeliers while keeping an open, airy silhouette.

Designed for dining rooms, great rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 3m or higher, the chandelier's 1120mm diameter and 985mm fitting height give it substantial presence without blocking sightlines across a room. The 1829mm chain is adjustable on installation, allowing the minimum drop of 1079mm to be extended up to 2940mm to suit double-height spaces. The circular arrangement of 15 bulbs distributes light evenly across a 4-5m diameter dining table or seating area.

The weathered zinc finish shows tonal variation and patina that shifts under different lighting conditions, from cooler grey in daylight to warmer charcoal under evening incandescent or LED light. The weathered grey wood veneer on the rings adds textural contrast to the metal framework and softens the overall appearance, making the chandelier sit comfortably in both rustic and contemporary interiors. What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1079mm plus the 985mm fitting height requires a ceiling height of approximately 3m or higher for safe clearance above a dining table or seating area. The chain extends up to 2940mm for double-height spaces.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes 15 E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, sold separately. Each socket is rated for a maximum 60W bulb. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient dining light.

Is the chain length adjustable?

Yes. The 1829mm chain is adjusted during installation by shortening the visible chain length and concealing the excess inside the canopy. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless the fitting is re-wired and re-hung.

How is the wood veneer maintained?

The weathered grey wood veneer rings are sealed and do not require oiling or treatment. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid spraying household cleaners directly onto the wood or metal — if cleaning is needed, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately.
