Description
The Tarn is a single light flush ceiling light in glass, finished in chrome, sitting neatly against the ceiling with a 200mm diameter and a 245mm projection. It's a compact fitting, well suited to smaller rooms, and it takes one standard E27 lamp. Being rated IP44, it's built with bathrooms specifically in mind, so it's designed to cope with the steam and moisture a bathroom brings.
Its flush fit and modest size make it a natural choice for bathrooms, en suites and cloakrooms, especially those with lower ceilings where anything larger would feel out of place. A single E27 lamp behind glass gives a soft, even wash of light rather than a harsh glare, which suits a room you're likely to use first thing in the morning and last thing at night, when a gentler light is welcome. It also works equally well outside the bathroom, in a hallway, landing or utility room, wherever a neat, low profile light is needed and space above is limited.
The glass is finished in chrome, a combination that wipes clean easily and won't discolour with condensation the way some materials can. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth, or a lightly damp one if needed, making sure the light is switched off and cool first. It's fully dimmable with compatible dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer, so you can bring the light down low for an evening bath, and it's part of our wider Tarn range for matching bathroom lighting throughout the room, from the ceiling down to smaller wall fittings.

Frequently Asked
Is the Tarn suitable for a bathroom?
Yes, it's rated IP44, so it's built for bathroom use. That makes it suitable for zone 2 and areas outside the main splash zones; if the light would sit directly over a bath or shower, in zone 0 or 1, check that the location meets the higher rating those zones need.
What size room does the Tarn suit?
With a 200mm diameter, it's a compact fitting, well suited to an en suite, cloakroom or smaller bathroom rather than a large family bathroom looking for a single main light.
How close to the ceiling does it sit?
It's a flush fitting with a 245mm projection, so it sits close to the ceiling, which helps in bathrooms with lower ceilings or where door clearance is tight.
What bulb does it take, and is it included?
It takes one E27 lamp, with a maximum wattage of 10W. The lamp isn't included, so we'd suggest a warm white LED lamp suited to damp conditions.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with a compatible dimmable lamp and a suitable dimmer switch, so you can soften the light for an evening soak.
How do I clean the glass and chrome?
Use a soft, dry cloth for regular dusting, or a barely damp cloth if needed, and always switch off and let the light cool before cleaning.
