The Swift Glass is an 8-light chandelier built on curved cast metal arms finished in matt white, with hand-blown glass bobeches beneath each of the eight E14 candle-style bulb holders. The 955mm diameter frame sits on a central column that continues up through a velvet-covered chain to a ceiling rose, giving the fitting a soft textile detail visible below the ceiling plate.

Designed for larger dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Swift provides distributed overhead light from eight points arranged symmetrically around the central column. The curved arms position each bulb approximately 700-800mm from the centre, giving the chandelier a substantial visual presence without overwhelming typical 3.5-4.5m dining tables. The matt white finish reflects minimal light, so the glow comes primarily from the exposed bulbs rather than the frame itself.

The blown glass bobeches are hand-formed, so minor variations in shape and thickness occur between individual pieces and between different production batches. The velvet chain cover runs the full adjustable drop from the ceiling rose to the chandelier body, concealing the cable and adding a tactile softness to the suspension system. The matt white finish pairs with both traditional and coastal interiors where a lighter chandelier presence is preferred over brass or chrome.

The chandelier is supplied by Ideal Lux of Italy and carries a 5-year warranty. Bulbs are sold separately — most installations pair this with 4-6W E14 LED candle bulbs at 2700K to give approximately 400-600 lumens per point.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 495mm body height plus the adjustable chain drop typically requires a ceiling height of 2.7m or above to hang the chandelier 700-900mm above a dining table without risk of head strikes. Lower ceilings may work if the chain is shortened significantly.

What does the velvet chain cover do?

The velvet cover conceals the suspension cable running from the ceiling rose to the chandelier body, giving a softer visual detail than exposed cable or bare metal chain. It does not affect the electrical function or weight capacity of the suspension system.
