Description

The Swell is a 610mm three-light bathroom wall light with ribbed white glass shades mounted on a polished chrome horizontal bar. Each of the three glass shades houses a G9 bulb, and the fitting is supplied with three 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K colour temperature. The IP44 rating confirms suitability for bathroom zones 2 and 3, resisting moisture from steam and splashes.

Designed to sit above bathroom mirrors and vanity units, the 610mm width suits double-basin setups and larger mirrors where even light distribution across the full width is needed. The three separate light sources reduce shadowing on faces compared to single-bulb wall lights, making the fitting useful for shaving and makeup application. The 171mm projection from the wall positions the light forward of most mirrors, directing light onto the mirror rather than into it.

The ribbed frosted glass shades diffuse the LED output to reduce glare while maintaining the brightness needed for task lighting. The polished chrome bar and fittings pick up bathroom fixtures in matching chrome finishes, and the reflective surface works well in smaller bathrooms to bounce light around the room. The steel construction and chrome plating provide corrosion resistance in humid environments.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating confirms the fitting is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This covers positions above the bath or shower (zone 2) and general bathroom areas (zone 3), but not inside the shower enclosure itself (zone 1).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting comes with three 3W LED G9 bulbs included, but these can be replaced with any standard G9 bulbs up to 3W. The ribbed glass shades unscrew from the chrome fittings to allow bulb access.

What width mirror does it suit?

The 610mm width works best above mirrors between 500-800mm wide. For very wide double-basin mirrors (900mm+), consider pairing two Swell fittings or choosing a wider multi-light option from the Quoizel range.

Is the light warm or cool?

The included LED bulbs are 3000K, which sits in the warm white range. This gives a softer, more flattering light for bathroom tasks compared to cool white (4000K+) bulbs.
