Description

The Sparx is a 1805mm bi-emission linear LED pendant light built from extruded aluminium with a white powder-coat finish. Two integrated LED modules run the length of the housing, one directing light upwards towards the ceiling and one downwards into the room, creating a balanced ambient and task light distribution without concentrated downlighting hotspots. The 40W total output at 4000K provides neutral white illumination suitable for workspaces, kitchens and commercial interiors.

Designed for hanging over kitchen islands, office desks, retail counters and corridors, the 1805mm length suits rooms 4-6m long where a single continuous light source is preferred over multiple pendant fittings. The fixture hangs on two cables from a white canopy, with 2150mm of cable length allowing installation heights from 2.4m to 3.5m ceiling heights. The 50mm projection from ceiling to the top of the housing keeps the profile low where headroom is limited.

The bi-emission configuration sends approximately half the 40W output upwards to wash the ceiling plane and reflect back into the room, reducing the harshness of direct downlight and giving a softer overall ambient quality. The white finish integrates cleanly with white or light-coloured ceilings and pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors. What does bi-emission mean?

The 1805mm length works best over surfaces or in rooms approximately 4-6m long, such as a kitchen island, office desk run or retail counter. For longer spaces, Ideal Lux produces modular versions of the Sparx that can be linked end-to-end.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The fixture hangs on two cables from a white canopy. On a sloped ceiling the canopy can be fixed to the slope, but the fitting itself will hang vertically due to gravity, which may create an asymmetric visual relationship with the ceiling plane.
