Description

The Sparx is a 1205mm linear LED pendant light in black extruded aluminium with integrated 40W 3000K LED modules that emit light both upward and downward. The bi-emission design throws light onto the ceiling above and the work surface or floor below, providing both ambient wash and functional task illumination from a single fitting. The extruded aluminium body measures 50mm in projection and houses two separate LED strips running the full 1205mm length.

Designed for home offices, kitchen islands, workbenches and commercial meeting rooms, the Sparx suits spaces between 2.4m and 3m ceiling height where a combination of overhead ambient light and direct task light is needed. The 2150mm cable allows the suspension height to be adjusted on installation, typically positioning the fixture 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-1000mm above a dining table depending on ceiling clearance. The modular design allows multiple units to be run in parallel or joined end-to-end to cover longer runs.

The matt black finish on the aluminium body absorbs reflections and pairs well with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light suited to residential and hospitality environments without the cooler clinical tone of 4000K or higher. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. The LED modules are not user-replaceable and are not dimmable on this model.

Frequently Asked

Is the Sparx dimmable?

No. This model uses non-dimmable integrated LED modules. If dimming is required, please contact us to check availability of alternative Ideal Lux linear systems with dimmer compatibility.

What does bi-emission mean?

Bi-emission means the fitting emits light in two directions: upward onto the ceiling to provide ambient wash, and downward onto the work surface or floor for task lighting. This dual output provides more balanced illumination than a single-direction downlight.

Can multiple units be joined together?

Yes. The Sparx is part of a modular linear system that allows multiple 1205mm units to be installed in parallel runs or joined end-to-end to cover longer spans. Each unit requires its own ceiling fixing point and mains connection.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2150mm cable allows adjustment during installation. For office or kitchen use the fitting typically sits 600-900mm above the worktop, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. Higher ceilings up to 3m can accommodate a greater suspension drop if needed.
