Description
The Sparx is a 1805mm linear suspension light with integrated 40W LED strips running the length of an extruded aluminium body, finished in white. The bi-emission design directs light both upward to the ceiling and downward to the floor, creating balanced ambient and task lighting across the full 1.8m length. The two LED strips inside produce 3000K warm-white output at a combined 40W draw.
Designed for offices, conference rooms, open-plan kitchens and retail environments with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Sparx mounts on two suspension cables with a maximum 2150mm drop length adjustable during installation. The fixture sits 50mm deep and 1805mm long, making it suitable for mounting above workstations, kitchen islands, meeting tables and reception counters where uniform light distribution across the length of the surface matters. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry locations only.
The extruded aluminium profile keeps the weight manageable at under 3kg despite the 1.8m span, and the white powder-coated finish provides a neutral backdrop that sits comfortably in contemporary, industrial and Scandinavian interiors. The Sparx is part of a modular system allowing multiple units to be joined end-to-end or run in parallel, and other length options (including 1200mm variants) are available separately to configure runs that match specific room dimensions. The integrated LED is non-replaceable and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

Frequently Asked
Is the Sparx dimmable?
No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 40W output on standard 230V mains without dimmer compatibility. If dimming is required, consider an alternative fixture with TRIAC or 0-10V dimming support.
What does bi-emission mean?
The Sparx has LED strips facing both upward and downward inside the aluminium profile, so light is emitted from the top and bottom of the fixture simultaneously. This creates ceiling wash lighting above and task lighting below, balancing ambient and functional output.
Can multiple units be joined together?
The Sparx is part of a modular system. Multiple units can be run in parallel on separate suspension cables or joined end-to-end where electrical connectors are provided. Check with Ideal Lux for specific linking hardware if joining units directly.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 2150mm maximum cable length allows the fixture to be suspended in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.7m to 4m. For typical office or kitchen use, the fixture is mounted 600-900mm above a worktop or desk surface, which works in spaces with standard 2.7-3m ceiling heights.
