Description

The Sparkeon is a 2-light bar spotlight with a white powder-coated die-cast aluminium body and two fully adjustable GU10 fittings mounted on a 320mm-wide rectangular backplate. Each spotlight head rotates and tilts independently, allowing light to be directed to different zones across a kitchen worktop, hallway or office desk.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in areas requiring targeted task light rather than ambient wash, the Sparkeon suits kitchens where countertop lighting is needed, hallways requiring directed downlight, and home offices where adjustable desk illumination complements natural daylight. The 125mm projection from the wall or ceiling gives clearance for the heads to rotate without shadowing the backplate, while the compact 77mm height keeps the fitting low-profile.

The white powder-coat finish on the die-cast aluminium body resists chipping and fading under typical indoor conditions and pairs cleanly with white ceilings, light-toned walls and contemporary interiors. Each fitting takes a GU10 bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to the rated wattage. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor spaces — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

Dimmable performance depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch type — pairing with dimmable GU10 LEDs and a trailing-edge dimmer typically gives smooth dimming from 100% to 10% without flicker. The die-cast aluminium construction gives the fitting a solid 1.2kg weight, reducing vibration and movement once wall-mounted.

Yes. Each head rotates on its mounting point and tilts to direct light independently. This allows one head to light a worktop while the other lights a wall or doorway, or both heads to converge on the same task area.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Sparkeon to dry indoor spaces only. For bathroom or outdoor use, a fitting with IP44 or higher is required.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Check that your chosen GU10 bulbs are marked as dimmable and pair them with a trailing-edge dimmer for best results with LED bulbs.
