The Spark is a 45cm diameter LED flush ceiling light with a powder-coated black aluminium ring enclosing a central white polycarbonate diffuser. An integrated 26W LED sits behind the diffuser, producing 4000K neutral white light across the entire 450mm disc. The fitting sits just 45mm below the ceiling line, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards where a traditional pendant would intrude.

Designed for bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and medium-sized living spaces, the Spark provides general ambient lighting without visible bulbs or fittings. The 4000K colour temperature produces a clean neutral white that sits between the warmth of traditional tungsten (2700K) and the cooler tone of commercial office lighting (5000K+), making it well-suited to task-based rooms like kitchens and bathrooms while remaining comfortable for living spaces. The IP40 rating provides basic protection against dust and solid objects over 1mm, suitable for dry indoor environments.

The black powder-coated aluminium ring contrasts cleanly against white ceilings and coordinates with black door furniture, window frames and light switches in contemporary interiors. The low-profile design means the fitting does not dominate the ceiling plane visually, instead reading as a recessed disc of light. The non-dimmable LED draws 26W on 230V mains and connects to standard UK ceiling roses with loop-in/loop-out wiring.

Is the Spark dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to dim the fitting may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 45mm projection from the ceiling makes the Spark suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. In rooms with ceilings below 2.4m, a flush fitting like this is preferable to a pendant that would hang into the usable headroom.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP40 rating provides basic dust protection but no specific moisture protection. For bathroom zones 1 and 2 (above the bath or shower), a fitting with IP44 or higher is required under UK wiring regulations. The Spark is suitable for bathroom zones outside the regulated areas, such as general ceiling positions away from direct water spray.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between the warm white of traditional tungsten bulbs (2700K) and the cooler white of daylight (5500K+). It produces a clean, balanced light often used in kitchens, bathrooms and workspaces where colour rendering accuracy matters more than ambient warmth.
