Description

The Spark is a 20W constant current LED driver from Ideal Lux, delivering a fixed 500mA output to power low-wattage LED fittings. The driver measures 108mm long by 52mm deep, housed in a white plastic enclosure with push-fit connector terminals at one end. A constant current output maintains stable LED performance and prevents flicker, making the unit suitable for recessed downlights, cabinet lighting, and decorative accent installations where consistent light output matters.

Designed for indoor installation only (IP20 rated), the Spark fits into ceiling voids, behind panels, or inside luminaire housings where mains voltage cannot be run directly to the LED module. The driver accepts 220-240V AC input and converts this to the low-voltage constant current required by most retrofit and OEM LED arrays. The compact footprint allows it to be tucked into 100mm-deep recessed downlight housings or fixed to joists in false ceilings.

The Spark supports trailing-edge and leading-edge dimming when paired with a compatible wall dimmer on the mains input side. Dimming range and smoothness depend on the specific dimmer model used — test compatibility before specifying for a project. The plastic casing provides basic insulation and protection from dust but is not rated for damp or outdoor environments. The 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers manufacturing defects but not damage from incorrect installation or use outside the IP20 rating.
