Description
The Spark is an 800mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light built from a matt black painted metal frame with 20 brass-plated lamp holders radiating outwards from a central hub. Each holder takes an E27 bulb (sold separately), and the full 20-bulb configuration produces enough light output for large living areas, dining rooms or open-plan kitchen-diner spaces where a single ceiling fitting needs to serve multiple functional zones.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Spark sits close to the ceiling plane (semi-flush rather than pendant drop), making it a practical option where a chandelier would hang too low but a standard flush mount would lack presence. The radiating arms create a sculptural ceiling feature that works as both task and ambient lighting when paired with filament-style or globe LED bulbs that remain visible.
The matt black metal arms contrast with the brass lamp holders, giving the fitting a two-tone appearance that suits industrial-influenced interiors, mid-century modern schemes and contemporary spaces mixing warm metallics with darker base tones. The frame weighs approximately 4.5kg once all bulbs are fitted, requiring ceiling fixing into a joist or a reinforced plasterboard anchor rated for the combined load.
The light is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmable E27 bulbs and a suitable trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch on the mains circuit. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only — bathrooms, outdoor canopies and other damp or wet environments are not suitable.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Spark takes 20 standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W LED filament bulbs or clear globe bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to match the brass fittings and expose the bulb shape as part of the design.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and connect the light to a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit. Trailing-edge dimmers generally perform better with LED bulbs than leading-edge models.
What ceiling height does it suit?
The semi-flush mounting suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. In rooms with ceilings above 3m the light can appear small relative to the ceiling plane; in rooms below 2.4m the 800mm diameter may dominate the space.
How much weight does it add to the ceiling?
The fitting weighs approximately 4.5kg including all 20 bulbs. Ceiling fixings must be into a joist or use plasterboard anchors rated for at least 6kg to allow a safety margin.
