Description
The Solyra is a 450mm two-tier alabaster chandelier built from overlapping circular petals of natural Spanish alabaster, fixed at their upper edge to a brushed brass ring frame. Six E14 lamp sockets sit inside the frame (bulbs sold separately), with the lower tier nested beneath the upper to create a stepped, layered silhouette. The fitting suspends from a brushed brass canopy on a matching brass chain.
At 450mm wide and 450mm tall the Solyra suits dining tables in compact rooms, hallway ceilings, larger landings and bedrooms where a full-size chandelier would feel oversized. Above a dining table it typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface; in an entrance hall or bedroom, position the lowest petals at least 2.1m above floor level. The chain length can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights from around 2.4m upwards.
Each alabaster disc is cut from a single piece of natural stone, so the grey and amber veining, translucency and tonal balance vary between petals and between individual chandeliers. When the lamps are lit, light passes through the thinner sections of stone and reflects off the thicker veined areas, picking out the mineral pattern in each petal. The brushed brass ring and arms hold the discs at a consistent angle without obscuring the stone, and the small brass fixing pins at the top of each petal are deliberately visible as part of the design.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Solyra take?
The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with warm-white 2700K-3000K LED candle bulbs at 4-6W each for a soft ambient glow that flatters the alabaster.
Is it suitable for a small dining table?
Yes. At 450mm diameter the Solyra suits dining tables roughly 900-1400mm wide. For larger tables a wider chandelier or a linear pendant arrangement gives better light coverage.
Does each chandelier look the same?
No. Every alabaster petal is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining patterns, translucency and tonal warmth differ between petals and between individual chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe the petals gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but do not soak the stone.
