Description

The Solum is a 300mm table lamp built around a column of five stacked cut crystal blocks, topped with a white organza shade and set on a polished chrome circular base. The crystal blocks are precision-cut to catch ambient and lamp light, refracting it through multiple facets to create a prism effect across the column. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the organza shade, which diffuses the light downward through the shade fabric and through the crystal stack below.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables in living rooms, console tables in entrance halls, and office desks where a decorative accent is needed alongside functional task light. The 300mm shade diameter gives enough light spread to read by, while the crystal column provides the decorative weight. The white organza softens the bulb glare and casts a warm ambient wash across the table surface and surrounding area. The lamp stands approximately 550-600mm tall from base to shade top, making it visible without dominating a standard bedside or side table.

The crystal blocks are individually faceted and then threaded onto a central chrome rod that runs from the base through to the bulb holder, so the entire column acts as a light-transmitting element when the bulb is lit. The polished chrome base and matching chrome fittings at the top of the column tie the lamp together visually. The organza shade is semi-translucent and pleated, giving a textile texture under daylight and a soft glow when lit. The IP20 rating confirms indoor-only use.
