Description

The Solum is a five-light chandelier built on a satin brass frame with six curved arms radiating from a central column. Each arm holds a white organza lampshade over an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the central column features cut crystal pendants and decorative elements that catch and refract light. The suspension chain is covered in burgundy velvet, and a single large faceted crystal drop hangs beneath the frame.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Solum suits rooms where a decorative centrepiece is needed but ceiling height or floor area cannot accommodate a larger chandelier. The 720mm diameter works over round dining tables up to 1.2m diameter or rectangular tables up to 1.6m length. The 485mm body height plus chain drop requires at least 700mm clearance below the ceiling rose for comfortable headroom beneath.

The satin brass finish provides a warmer metallic tone than polished brass, with a low-sheen surface that reduces reflections under daylight. The organza shades soften the light output from each bulb, turning the chandelier into a source of ambient light rather than task illumination. The cut crystal elements add visual weight and traditional detailing without the full crystal-dressed aesthetic of a larger classical chandelier.
