Description

The Solisca is a 300mm LED flush ceiling light with a white matt-painted metal base and central reflecting disc, housing a 17W integrated LED behind a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The integrated LED produces 3000K warm white light at 1,500 lumens, casting even illumination across the space without visible hot-spots or glare.

Designed for low ceilings in hallways, bathrooms (dry zones only—IP20 rating), small kitchens, and utility rooms where recessed downlights cannot be installed, the Solisca sits approximately 50mm from ceiling to outer surface. The flush profile keeps the fitting clear of head height in rooms with 2.3-2.4m ceiling clearance. It can also be wall-mounted as a bulkhead-style fitting for stairwells and internal corridors.

The two-layer construction uses a central metal disc to bounce light back into the opal diffuser, creating a soft halo effect around the outer ring while directing the main beam downward. The polycarbonate diffuser resists yellowing and impact better than acrylic equivalents, maintaining its translucency over the rated lifespan of the LED. The white finish integrates with white ceilings without creating a visible boundary, and the compact 300mm diameter suits narrow hallways and small rooms where larger flush fittings would overwhelm the space.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means it can only be installed in dry zones (zone 3) away from direct water contact—at least 600mm beyond the perimeter of a bath or shower. It cannot be used above baths, in shower enclosures, or within splash zones.

Is the Solisca dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider a dimmable version from the Solisca range or contact us for alternative flush fittings with dimmer compatibility.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 50mm projection from ceiling to outer surface makes the Solisca suitable for low ceilings from 2.3m upward. In rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings it sits well clear of head height and can be installed in hallways, landings, and small kitchens without intrusion.

How is the LED replaced?

The LED is integrated and not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan is typically 30,000+ hours (approximately 15-20 years at typical domestic use). When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting is replaced. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty on the integrated LED.
