Description

The Solenia is a single-light LED pendant built around a narrow 60mm conical shade suspended from a slender 255mm black metal stem. An integrated 7W LED inside the cone casts focused 3000K warm white light downward, making the fitting suitable for task lighting over kitchen counters, home office desks, and dining tables where concentrated light is needed without wide ambient spread.

Designed by Ideal Lux in Italy, the Solenia works as a single pendant in small spaces or in multiples across longer surfaces — three pendants spaced 800-1000mm apart suit a typical 2.4-3m kitchen island. The 1600mm black PVC cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a worktop or 700-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The cone directs light sharply downward with minimal spill, so the fitting adds functional illumination without contributing to general room brightness.

The powder-coated black metal finish gives a low-sheen surface that pairs cleanly with industrial, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors. The narrow 60mm profile keeps the fitting visually lightweight when hung in series, and the slender stem adds vertical proportion without bulk. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only.

No. The integrated 7W LED is non-dimmable and operates on 230V mains only. Pairing the pendant with a dimmer switch will not adjust light output and may damage the driver.

What height does the pendant hang at?

The 1600mm cable is adjustable during installation. For task lighting over a kitchen worktop or desk, position the shade 600-800mm above the surface. Over a dining table, 700-900mm suits most ceiling heights between 2.4-2.7m.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, utility rooms, or any area where moisture is present.

How many should I hang over a kitchen island?

For a standard 2.4-3m island, three Solenia pendants spaced 800-1000mm apart provide even coverage. The narrow 60mm profile keeps the visual weight low when multiple fittings are hung in a row.
