Description
The Maytoni Share is an outdoor LED wall light with a circular graphite aluminium housing and a white acrylic diffuser that distributes light evenly across the front face. An integrated 12W LED inside produces 3000K warm white light, casting a soft downward and forward wash suitable for illuminating entrance areas, side passages, garden walls and patio boundaries.
Rated IP54, the Share resists dust ingress and splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for exposed UK locations including coastal areas with occasional rain-driven spray. The circular profile measures 192mm wide by 162mm tall with a 60mm projection from the wall, fitting comfortably between door frames, on gate pillars, or flanking garage doors where a compact, low-glare fitting is needed. The graphite finish is a mid-tone grey with a slight metallic sheen that pairs well with brick, render, timber cladding and painted masonry.
The aluminium body resists corrosion and UV degradation better than plastic housings, maintaining colour consistency through seasonal temperature swings and direct sunlight exposure. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED output to eliminate visible hotspots and reduces glare when viewed directly, making the Share comfortable to position at eye level on pathway walls or beside entrance steps. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, translating to approximately 8-10 years of typical dusk-to-dawn use.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
No, the 12W LED is integrated into the housing and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, which equates to approximately 8-10 years of typical dusk-to-dawn outdoor use before any noticeable light degradation occurs.
Can it be used in exposed coastal locations?
Yes. The IP54 rating means the Share resists dust and water splashing from any direction, including rain-driven spray. The aluminium housing resists salt-air corrosion better than steel or untreated metal fittings, making it suitable for coastal gardens and properties within a few miles of the sea.
What direction does the light spread?
The circular diffuser casts light primarily downward and forward from the wall. There is minimal upward light spill, so the Share works well below bedroom windows or in areas where upward glare would be unwanted. The spread is soft and even rather than a focused beam.
How is it wired?
The Share requires mains 220-240V AC wiring run to the mounting position. It connects via a terminal block inside the rear housing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK wiring regulations, particularly when routing cable through exterior walls.
