Description

The Sally is a 100mm square trimless recessed downlight with an integrated 11W COB LED delivering warm 3000K light through a white die-cast aluminium housing. The trimless design allows the downlight to sit flush with plasterboard or panel ceilings, with the plaster or paint finishing carried right up to the aperture edge for a completely seamless look once installed.

Designed for contemporary residential and commercial interiors where visible fittings disrupt the ceiling plane, the Sally works in living rooms, hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, boutiques and galleries. The 11W output provides focused downlight for ambient layering rather than high-intensity task lighting. The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white tone that softens stark white ceilings and pairs well with warm-toned walls and timber floors.

The die-cast aluminium housing carries an IP40 rating, restricting installation to dry indoor environments. The white powder-coated finish matches standard white ceiling paint once installed, allowing the downlight to disappear into the ceiling plane. The COB LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation. The square aperture measures 100mm per side, requiring a corresponding ceiling cut-out during installation.

What does trimless mean?

Trimless means there is no visible bezel or trim ring around the downlight aperture. The plaster or ceiling finish is carried right up to the edge of the light fitting itself, so once installed and painted the downlight sits completely flush with the ceiling plane. This gives a cleaner, more architectural look than traditional recessed downlights with visible trim rings.

Is the Sally dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and will not function correctly with dimmer switches. Connecting the Sally to a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or premature LED failure.

What ceiling depth is required?

The Sally has a 100mm projection depth above the ceiling line. A minimum ceiling void depth of 110mm is recommended to allow clearance for the heat sink and wiring connections.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP40 rating means the Sally is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact is present. For bathrooms, choose a downlight with an IP44 or IP65 rating.
