Description

The Sally is an 85mm diameter LED recessed downlight with an 11W COB (chip-on-board) light source delivering 3000K warm white light through a gold-finished reflector cone set within a white powder-coated trim ring. The die-cast aluminium housing fits plasterboard and panel ceilings with a cut-out diameter of approximately 72mm and a recess depth of 60-70mm.

Designed for general ambient lighting in residential and light commercial spaces, the Sally provides even downward light distribution with minimal glare thanks to the recessed position of the LED within the gold reflector. The warm 3000K colour temperature suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas where a softer light tone is preferred over cooler whites. The 11W output provides sufficient illumination for spacing at 1.5-2m intervals in standard ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m.

The white exterior trim sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, while the gold-finished interior reflector adds a subtle accent visible from below and helps warm the light output. The IP40 rating provides basic protection against solid objects larger than 1mm, making the fitting suitable for general indoor use in dry locations. The COB LED is integrated and non-replaceable, rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation.

Installation requires cutting a circular aperture in the ceiling, connecting to mains 230V supply via a driver (typically housed above the ceiling), and clipping the trim into place.
