The Ros is a five-globe pendant light built around a vertical matt black rod carrying five graduated amber glass spheres, each housing a single GU10 bulb (sold separately). The globes increase in diameter from top to bottom, with the smallest sitting approximately 300mm below the ceiling rose and the largest — a 160mm sphere — forming the weighted base of the composition. The matt black metal rod runs through the centre of each globe, creating a vertical axis that holds the arrangement taut.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and in double-height entrance halls, the Ros sits on an adjustable cable with a minimum drop of 740mm and a maximum of 3625mm, making it adaptable to standard 2.4m ceilings or vaulted spaces up to 4m. The amber-tinted blown glass diffuses the light from the five GU10 bulbs, casting a warm glow that softens hard surfaces and reduces glare. The vertical configuration concentrates light below the fitting rather than dispersing it horizontally, making the Ros better suited to task or accent lighting than general room illumination.

Each amber glass globe is hand-blown, so minor variations in tint density and bubble formation occur between individual pieces. The matt black finish on the metal rod and ceiling rose absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the amber glass. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms but not for bathrooms or outdoor use. What bulbs does the Ros take?

The fitting takes five GU10 bulbs up to 28W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K. The amber glass tint warms the light further, so neutral or cool-white bulbs may still appear warm once filtered through the glass.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cable is adjustable between 740mm and 3625mm. The height is typically set during installation by shortening the cable inside the ceiling rose, but it can be re-adjusted by an electrician if needed later.

Is the Ros suitable for low ceilings?

At its minimum 740mm drop, the Ros works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings when installed above a table or island where head clearance beneath the fitting is not needed. For open floor areas with low ceilings, the vertical length of the fitting may feel intrusive.

Do the amber glass globes vary between fittings?

Yes. Each globe is hand-blown, so minor differences in tint density, bubble patterns and exact sphere shape occur between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of blown glass production, not a manufacturing defect.
