Description

The Maytoni Ring is a 4 light circular pendant fitting with a white metal ring frame suspending four frosted white glass globe shades. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately, 25W maximum per socket), giving a combined output of up to 100W across the four light sources. The ring itself measures 435mm wide by 390mm deep, with the globes distributed evenly around the circumference.

The suspension cables allow the fitting to be adjusted between a minimum drop of 340mm and a maximum of 1840mm at installation, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceilings as well as double-height spaces or stairwells. The white finish on both the metal frame and the frosted glass creates a cohesive, airy look that works in kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and living areas where ambient rather than task lighting is needed. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The frosted glass globes diffuse the light from the G9 bulbs, softening the output and reducing glare. The white metal frame is powder-coated rather than painted, giving a durable finish that resists chipping. At full extension the fitting has a visual presence without overwhelming spaces up to 15-18 square metres. The construction is metal throughout with no plastic components in the visible structure.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, maximum 25W each (sold separately). Most users pair this with LED G9 bulbs in the 2-4W range at 2700K-3000K for warm white ambient light.

Can the height be adjusted after installation?

The suspension cables are set to the desired drop length during installation, adjustable between 340mm and 1840mm. Once fitted and the ceiling rose is in place, the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and the cables re-adjusted.

Is it suitable for sloped ceilings?

The ceiling canopy is designed for flat ceilings. On a sloped ceiling the cables would hang vertically, causing the ring frame to sit at an angle rather than horizontal. A flat ceiling is required for the ring to hang level.

What room size does it suit?

With four G9 bulbs the Ring provides ambient rather than task lighting for rooms up to approximately 15-18 square metres. In larger spaces it works as accent or zone lighting rather than the sole light source.
