Description

The Rim is a 24cm diameter round metal cluster canopy designed to mount two pendant lights from a single ceiling point. The canopy measures just 2mm thick, sits flush against the ceiling, and features two outlet holes spaced to allow pendants to hang without cable cross-over. The matt black powder-coated finish provides a low-sheen surface that blends into dark ceilings or contrasts cleanly against white.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and lounge areas where two pendant lights need to be suspended from a single ceiling rose, the Rim replaces individual canopies with a unified mounting plate. The 24cm diameter covers the standard UK ceiling rose footprint and provides sufficient spacing for most E27 or E14 pendant configurations. The two outlet holes allow cable drop positions to be set during installation, typically spaced 600-800mm apart once the pendants are hung.

The metal plate is fabricated from rolled steel with a powder-coated matt black finish that resists fingerprints and visible wear better than gloss finishes. At 2mm thickness the canopy sits close to the ceiling without creating a bulky profile, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights where projection needs to be minimal. The Rim suits any two pendant lights that terminate in a standard ceiling rose connection. The two outlet holes allow cable routing for E27, E14 or bayonet-cap pendants, provided the combined cable diameter fits through each hole. The canopy does not include the pendant lights themselves.

What spacing does it give between the two pendants?
