Description

The Rena is a 130mm round recessed ground light built from cast aluminium with a stainless steel cover and an IP68 rating, designed for installation into driveways, patios, pathways and garden borders. The fitting sits flush with the ground surface once installed, with the stainless steel bezel providing a 130mm visible diameter and the LED lamp recessed below a toughened glass lens. An 8W GU10 LED lamp (included) produces 3000K warm white light through the lens.

Designed for outdoor use where ground-level accent lighting is needed without exposed fittings, the Rena suits driveways where it can withstand vehicle overrun, garden pathways where it provides step lighting, and patios where it creates ambient uplight onto walls or planting. The IP68 rating means the fitting is fully sealed against water ingress even when submerged, making it suitable for areas prone to flooding, heavy rain or ground moisture. Installation requires a 182mm in-ground depth to accommodate the body and cable entry.

The stainless steel cover resists corrosion from soil contact, de-icing salts and coastal environments where marine-grade durability is needed. The cast aluminium body acts as a heat sink for the LED, maintaining stable operating temperature even in hot climates or when surrounded by warm paving. The round bezel design allows the fitting to be installed into poured concrete, block paving, gravel or decking with a clean edge detail. The included 8W GU10 LED provides approximately 640 lumens output and a rated 25,000-hour lifespan.

Yes. The Rena is rated for vehicle overrun when installed correctly into a stable surface such as block paving or poured concrete. The stainless steel cover and cast aluminium body are designed to withstand the load of passenger vehicles.

What does IP68 mean for outdoor use?

IP68 is the highest ingress protection rating for outdoor lighting. It means the fitting is completely sealed against dust and can be submerged in water beyond 1m depth without water entering the enclosure. This makes the Rena suitable for areas prone to flooding, heavy rain, or ground moisture.

What installation depth is required?

The in-ground depth is 182mm. This includes the body of the fitting and space for the cable entry. Installation into concrete, block paving or decking requires excavation to this depth, plus allowance for a conduit run to the power supply.

Is the LED replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses a standard GU10 socket, so the 8W LED lamp can be replaced with any GU10 bulb up to 8W. The stainless steel bezel unscrews to access the lamp holder.
