Description
The Radiata is a single outdoor spotlight with a grey powder-coated cast aluminium body, a positionable head and a transparent Pyrex glass diffuser. The spotlight takes a single G9 bulb (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, protecting the internal components from dust ingress and splashes of water from any direction.
Designed for ground installation using the included lance, the Radiata suits garden beds, borders, pathways and driveways where directional light is needed to highlight planting, architectural features or signage. The head pivots on a brass-bushed joint, allowing the beam to be angled upward for wall-washing, downward for path illumination, or horizontally to pick out specific features. The 65mm body diameter and 150mm projection from ground level give a low-profile presence during daylight.
The powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion in damp soil and coastal environments, and the neutral grey tone integrates with stone paving, rendered walls and grey decking without creating visual contrast. The Pyrex glass diffuser is harder than standard soda-lime glass and tolerates the thermal cycling that comes from switching the lamp on and off in cold weather. The G9 bulb fitting accepts both halogen and LED lamps up to the wattage specified in the table below, giving flexibility to choose beam angle and colour temperature to suit the application.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Radiata take?
The spotlight takes a standard G9 capsule bulb, available in both halogen and LED versions. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED G9 between 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for accent lighting in gardens.
Can the head be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The head pivots on a joint that can be hand-tightened after positioning. This allows the beam angle to be adjusted upward, downward or horizontally without removing the spike from the ground.
Is the IP54 rating sufficient for garden use?
IP54 protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, which covers rain, garden sprinklers and hose spray. The rating does not protect against submersion, so the spotlight should not be installed in areas that flood or pond with standing water.
How deep does the ground spike need to be buried?
The lance should be buried at least 100mm into firm soil or gravel to provide stability. In loose or sandy soil, burying deeper or using a small gravel footing around the spike improves stability and prevents the spotlight from tilting over time.
