Description

The Radiara is a 183mm recessed LED downlight with an integrated 30W COB (chip-on-board) LED module delivering neutral white 4000K light. The die-cast aluminium body sits flush within plasterboard ceilings, concealing the heat sink and driver behind a white-coated circular bezel. The LED module sits behind a faceted reflector that concentrates light downward into a defined beam.

Designed for commercial offices, retail environments, kitchens and bathrooms, the Radiara provides high-output task lighting where concentrated illumination is needed. The 30W output and 4000K colour temperature suit workspaces, prep areas and circulation zones where neutral white light aids concentration and visual clarity. The IP44 front rating provides splash protection when installed, making the fitting suitable for zones 2 and 3 in bathrooms and for kitchen installations above worktops.

The recessed installation requires a ceiling void depth of approximately 100mm to accommodate the heat sink and driver assembly. The white powder-coated bezel blends into white or light-coloured ceilings, minimising visual interruption when the fitting is off. The non-dimmable LED driver runs directly from 230V mains without requiring additional control gear, simplifying installation in new-build and retrofit applications. Ideal Lux covers the fitting with a 5-year warranty.

Can the Radiara be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 front rating provides splash protection when installed, making the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. It cannot be used in zone 0 or zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower enclosure).

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The Radiara uses an integrated COB LED module that is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours and is covered by Ideal Lux's 5-year warranty.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white — cooler than warm white (2700-3000K) but warmer than daylight white (5000K+). It provides clear, focused light that suits task-oriented environments like offices, kitchens and retail spaces.
